5. Can I have a joint party?

Absolutely!! This is a great way to lower costs!

Wen having a SuperSteph Magic show both children get to perform a special magic trick with SuperSteph and be the star of the show. They also both get a special balloon hat all for the same price of a single childs party.

If you are having a joint or superhero party show with the Super Party heroes both children will get a present from their favourite entertainer.

6. What age range are your parties for?

Children grow up so quickly. They definitely need age appropriate parties.

SuperStephs entertainers, the Super Party Heroes, cater for children age 4-7 years.

We ALWAYS have mixed boys and girls parties.

We ALWAYS have some children with older or younger ages.

The older children are easy to entertain. We make them into our ‘privileged security guards’ and do not treat them like little children. They help us with the party and always enjoy the higher role they have over the younger children and love helping out.

The Super Party Heroes also cater for children aged 3. However, as 3 year olds are very young we always recommend a female entertainer over a male entertainer. Experience of hundreds of shows has taught us that 3 year old children feel much more at ease with a lady entertainer who has a soft voice rather than a ‘scary’ 6 foot 2” entertainer with a big booming voice and masked face..

We always recommend that 3 year old party characters are best with no mask. At 3 years old it is pretty scary seeing a masked face..

Magician, SuperSteph, has three main parties -.

• The bunny magic show – for kids parties aged 3-3.5

• The pirate/ superhero magic show – for kids birthday parties aged 4-7 (The boy parties don’t have the fairy bit – they have more fun superhero antics!)

• The older pirate show – For kids parties aged 8-12 This magic show has the magic tricks that fool adults rather than the slapstick kiddy comic magic show that children under 7 year old prefer.

7. Do your birthday party entertainers have public liability insurance?

Absolutely! No less than $20,000,000

8. Why do I need a rainy day plan?

With the crazy weather that we are getting now you will need a rainy day plan. This is to protect your friends that have taken time out to come to the party so we don’t cancel on them at the last minute and also our Suer Party Heroes. Like everyone else our entertainers rely on the money from the shows to pay food and rent. The terrible wet summer recently would have affected over a hundred shows if we did not insist on a rainy day plan.

In extreme circumstances you can postpone a show with the Suer Party Heroes providing that the entertainer you are booked in with can do the party at a time and date suitable to both parties.

SuperSteph’s shows can also be postponed but only rearranged between holidays or after school on Monday – Wednesday as she is always booked out Thursday– Sunday

9. How many children can I have at the party?

SuperSteph magic show prices are for up to 30 children. This gives you the flexibility of inviting the whole class if you wish. The price per child after that is $2 per extra child.

When hiring magician SuperSteph there is no cap on the number of children that you have.

However, for the smooth running of the party SuperSteph recommends no more than 30. Games like pass the parcel are for parties with around 22 children or under (otherwise it gets very tedious and SuperSteph has a whole load of party games better suited to larger numbers of children.)

The superhero party games show:

These shows are run by SuperSteph’s ‘Super Party Heroes’ They are the character entertainers who have shows that cater for up to 20 children. We charge $10 per child extra after 20 children. Say you have 23 children then you will pay an extra $30.

If you are sending more than 25 invitations out you will need to book a second entertainer to control that many children. The fee is $165 (plus travel) for your second entertainer. This will cover you for up to 40 boys and girls!

We really don’t want your extra money. We would rather you stick to under 20 children. That way we can keep control and look professional for you and for the future parents that are at the themed pirate or superhero party.

10. I won’t know how many children are coming until on the day. How do I pay for the extra children?

That’s easy, you just pay for the extras on the day to your entertainer. Rule of thumb is the amount of invitations you hand out will be the number you receive on the day. Some children will be sick but other children will take their place as siblings of your guests often turn up. (best to plane for spare party bags for them too or you may get tears). We don’t count children under 3 years old.

11. I have girls as well as boys at the party. Will they both enjoy it?

YES! Absolutely! About 85% or our shows are mixed boys and girls as it is the norm to invite the class.

12. My Son is a real boy’s boy. Will he like having a lady entertainer?

You can have a male entertainer if you wish. We have 5 fabulous ones! You can have a male entertainer if you wish. We have 5 fabulous ones!

Our lady entertainers are real tomboys! We are definitely NOT girly girls. We are tough and cheeky and full on and have done HUNDREDS of boys pirate and superhero party shows.

Lady magician, SuperSteph, is the BUSIEST boys pirate and superhero party host in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Please feel free to ask around to other parents and see if SuperSteph and the female Super Party heroes’ are appropriate for your boys superhero party. We know the answer. The answer will be YES!

13. My boy is shy and may not wish to help on stage – is this a problem?

The Super Party Heroes are used to being around children and knows how to talk carefully to children who need soft encouragement. There have only been 6 children within the last 5 years that have been shy enough for helping The Super Party heroes with their shows – Even the shiest children get the courage to come up with a friend.

14. Do you have live animals in the show?

Yes , in the SuperSteph Magic show! – A GORGEOUS chocolate mini Plush Lop Bunny – His name is “Stew” or a lovely white magicians baby rabbit called “Mr Furious!” SuerSteph loves her pets and makes sure that they have a break from being in the show so Super Steph will alternate them between shows.
